Ocean Ridge Pool Garden Oasis

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

A Gold Award–winning, top-to-bottom backyard transformation set against a golf course in the Lower Carolinas. The design tackled significant grading and drainage challenges on the rear slope — regrading the yard, refining the slope, and adding strategic bed prep to manage water runoff — while carefully preserving the property's existing woodline and front beds so the finished space feels naturally established. A new custom concrete pool with veneered walls anchors the oasis, softened by a revised planting package of Eagleston hollies, coastal palms, and native plantings, with complementary beds skirting the golf-course edge for privacy and drainage. A cherished heritage grapevine — a family heirloom — was carefully transplanted and preserved as part of the design.
