Custom concrete pool (plaster finish), tiled deck with coping, cabana & shed with mason stonework, fire bowls, low-voltage landscape & pool lighting, comprehensive drainage & irrigation, specimen coastal plantings

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

A Silver Award–winning coastal retreat built for perfect symmetry with coastal nature, in an AE flood zone near the intracoastal waterway. The team excavated pool-deck footings and flood supports and installed a comprehensive drainage system — extending beyond the rear fence line with concealed street-side drains — all while protecting existing native trees behind barriers and silt fencing (the preserved trees thrived post-construction). A custom concrete pool with a plaster finish, a tiled deck with coping, cabana and shed structures with mason stonework, fire bowls, and integrated low-voltage landscape and pool lighting complete the retreat, with front beds reset in decorative stone. Designed by Tim McAuliffe, The Outdoor Living Designer, and built by Smart Pools — a Silver NALP Award of Excellence winner.
